Ascender Communications is a digital advertising and media production company that I established in early 2005.
We are nimble team of designers, social marketers, and filmmakers based in Washington, DC. Our work typically supports businesses, non-profits and government. However, after 15 years in the game, we realised that we also wanted to bring value to the community around us.
So, we decided to niched down.
We wanted to bring beautiful design and meaninful storytelling through short form documentary, oral histories and scripted independent films that explored our interpretation of history and reflected the world around us. We want to design products and merchadise that celebrated our culture and the local communities that have given opportunity and love to us.
This store was the result and it is has been one of our most rewarding creative endeavors.
